Description This is the only plant blooming here in Missouri at the present time. We had gone to the botanical Garden to take some captures of the undisturbed snow and were surprised to see this bush blooming with clusters of snow clumps in it's branches. | Technical Details The common name of Witch Hazel is thought to have been coined in colonial America, when a forked branch of this bush was the first-choice for "water-witching" in deciding where to dig a well, EXIF: Canon EOS 40D, 85mm, 1/500s, f/14.0, ISO400, Flash: N, White Balance: AUTO, Timestamp: 03/05/2008 10:09am |
