  More About Myself...

I live in St. Louis, Missouri, and take several vacation trips a year consisting of cruises and/or car trips. Love to take captures - especially in American Southwest and in aquariums - jellyfish are a particular favorite of mine and the lighthouses and beautiful scenery in the State of Michigan and the State of Utah.. I've been a member since September 2005. I have a capture that placed in the top 5 of 8,500 worldwide entries in the Smithsonian Annual Photo Contest and was published in their June 2007 issue. It currently is hanging in the Smithsonian Castle from July to November 2007. What a thrill that was.

This lily stood 4 feet above the water and the bloom was a huge 20 inches across. I had been trying for quite a while to catch this bloom open as it only blooms for one day. This day I got lucky. Captured at the Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis, M

Saw this colorful multicolored lily supported by a very prickery stem above the lily pond. These lilys had to poke themselves up through the lily pad to bloom. St. Louis, MO USA
